First Light Half Marathon Race Review

#32 done-First Light Mobile AL. Course was good. Pavement was rough in a few spots but overall pretty good. So many aid stations I lost count. Decent "fan" support. After party was great, ice cream!!!! BBQ Chicken, pasta salad, red beans and rice. woo hoo. Only problem was that it was hot and humid, but hard to control the weather.

Alabama Half Marathon Runners

Alabama Half Marathon runners, it's time to kick off the New Year, and what perfect timing for the Bank Trust First Light Half Marathon January 8th, 2012!  Throw on your cozy January running clothing for the perfect running temperatures typically ranging in the 40's & 50's in January, and burn those extra calories off from the holidays!  And for those that want to start off the year qualifying for Boston, the First Light Marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier if you are looking to start the year with a full marathon.  The event includes a T-shirt to all entrants, Pre & Post race meals, a Post Race concert, and a finisher medallion!  Additionally, the race is very well supported with plenty of water stops.
